The Tough Touring DOUBLE SIDED Mid   Mount Bolt on  Brackets are designed to  handle 360 Degree Pole Less Pole less awnings ,  For single swing arm 270 Degree  awnings  please see our listing for '270 Awning to Front Runner Brackets"

The Fit up is straight forward, with good strenght and simple Bolt Up installation. The Double sided Bracketry allows for a lower mount / maintaining good stiffness despite lower and smaller tiangulatrion.

Our TT Brackets bolt directly to the cross planks - allowing correct positioning of the front bracket at the plank nearest the front of your awning. Especially handy when your rack is longer than the awning ! (Like Troopcarrier and Defender vehicles).

The Brackets Accommodate most Other Front Runner Accessories without interferrence where tested (Yes the Under Mount table is not an issue)  Rear Ladder read below.

The Tough Touring  MID mount Bracket set sits the awning 'beside' the rack - and adds 95mm Above the rack and 55mm Below Centreline - The  MID mount  Front and Rear brackets in this Kit  is now a double bolted 'Mirrored' bracket to add additional anti flex stiffnes and bring it up to a similar strength to the 'UP' bracket.

Please note that Double Ended awnings such as the 'Bush Company XT Max' NEEDS THIS BRACKET SET for the lowest possible mount, however simmilar strength is achieved with the up bracket option if your not worried about the height UP listed here for a smaller investment  ... '270 Awning to Front Runner Brackets"

The "MID" Mount Version of these brackets  sit 60mm Lower  OVERALL than the UP mount brackets - For Most applications -  However - We'd Reccommend you use the UP Bracket Kit as it is going to set the awning higher for taller persons, as well as get up over the rear ladders fitted in the case of most landrover vehicles or vehicles with lifting tailgates like y62 Patrol and LC200...

. The UP Bracket should always be used on vehicles with LIFTING REAR DOOR - .AND OR VEHICLES WITH SPOILERS/WIND FAIRINGS TOO (like modern Toyota 200, 300 series and Landrover DIsco 3,4,5, Nissan y62) as the Last arm of the awning needs to clear the lifting rear door (And lower awning mounts will mean the awning strikes the door when deployed). The difference in MID vs UP brackets is around 65mm more clearance on the UP... Makes a big difference with the rear door height when open and awning depoloyed...  I Personally run the mid mount with a rear ladder fitted on my discovery 3 - as it is sitting around 6 inches higher than a standard one, and Im 180cm tall... Heights all work fine for me... (Yes the awning arms hit the ladder when rear door is open, but it goes high enough for me to stand under it anyway...) There is no hard fast ruling here, too many awning, rack foot rail heights and different vehicle heights to ever know which set will work for you best... Trust your gut - If you stand beside your vehicle, and your rack base is 100mm higher than your head - Go for the mid mount. If your rack is lower than that - and you don't have garaging issues - go for the UP mount.

At the end of the day - The most important thing is that you can reach the awning bag to deploy the awning, and you can stand under it without bending over when its put up.

ALL Bracket Sets all come with optional Rivett points Pre-drilled  in place through the Brackets to further increase stiffness if desired. (Optional)

A hook bracket is included which is also opional and can be Rivetted or Bolted to the opposite side of the rack for easy hook off deployment of some pole less awnings such as Ostrich, 30 second and Boss 270's.  Please note that The Bush Company Awnings canvas canopy wraps around the last arm on the Underside, making hook bracket use impossible. (Use their provided strap to secure the awning instead)

The Fields below ask questions about your vehicle, rack length and Awning type - So that we can make certain you get the right bracket variations to suit your truck / rack and Awning fitment ... So please complete the Product options below.

You will need a 13mm Spanner, 6mm Allen Key to fit this kit. Rivetts can be also used for additional strength but this is optional.  Bolts and washers included in the kit.
