Installing Awnings to Hybrid Pop Top Campers
What does it cost to Upgrade your awning to a Poleless wing awning?
Tough Touring manufacture and sell Bracket Sets for enable these heavy awnings to be hung off the Hybrid campers Foam walls securely. The Bracket systems can be purchased via our online store here .
For Installations here in Tough Touring HQ in Braeside Victoria, Brackets then Installation of Brackets and awning starts $1990 and can get up around $2300 for harder installs (Latches in the way / Old awnings to remove / etc) We do not add additional raingutters when they are not present on the vans -That is up to you to source and add after the awning install yourself.

Tough Touring Hybrid awning brackets have gone through dozens of alterations since their conception around 5 years ago, these changes have been made to broaden their fittment to more and more vans with less and less modification to the trailers to get around lights, Latches, Hinges and gas struts.
It is most likely necessary to trim and or drill fixing points through the brackets for perfect fittment to your particular trailer. We have made the brackets 'Oversize' to allow cutting off of un-necessary or fouling areas '

All 4 of our Bracket systems 'traingulate' around the body or Pop top roof of the trailer, attaching via Nutsert OR Though Bolted M8 Bolts each end - creating a super strong supported brace around the body of the trailer to allow Awnings to be fitted securely to these vehicles without any load on the walls themselves.

The Tough Touring 180/270 (Supa Peg Sheild 6) is IMO by far the best Hybrid Camper trailer awning ON THE MARKET, but it was never built long enough in span for the majority of Hybrid campers. It is a Shorter awning at just 2.7m long -
For this reason - we built a Bracket kit with Rain Gutter Extrusion Sections to be able to mount it.

Or IF your camper has a very low roof profile when closed - and you can reach the roof easily, you may consider mounting the awning directly to the roof of the camper if it is strong enough using our "Awning to Roof of hybrid pop top camper brackets"
How do I stop rain coming down between the awning and the wall of the camper ?
Rain gutters can be made out of plastic or lighter folded sheet. (Only has to serve purpose of re-directing water.)
Some vans already have the Aluminium or plastic angle fitted.
Bonus if this is you... Part of the job is done. Leave it there.. Our brackets go around the ends anyway.

Installs of this awning to your Hybrid Camper are typically priced at Approx $1990 including Removal of your old awning and disposal, Installation of the Tough Touring Brackets and Then Awning.
Prices can go up from there if your missing the rain guard on your van, or you have lights or latches that need to be moved, relocated during the install. These Mods are / will be discussed with you as the installation progresses and are usually totally optional in most cases depending on what we find in due course of the install.

Bundutec 360 Degree Hybrid Awning...
Bundutec (South Africa) Presently Builds / offers its 360 (untrussed) Degree awning now in custom sizes. This Awning has three Pitch Poles that automatically pop up at each end, and covers an enormous 20+ Squ Metres.
At Time of Update 23/ 4 /24 to this page - this is the only "pole less awning" on the market that we can see has reliable supply chains.
Its a Lightweight design, with canvas weights of maybee 150 Gsm - Arms are Lightweight also and whilst Guy Ropes are included - Its a good fast awning to erect and pack away - also does excellent even water dispersion in heavy rain. this awning should not be left unattended (Even when Guyed down) as wind exceeding 15Knots will likely start causing damage.
