Bundutec 360 Awning to Hybrid POP TOP Camper brackets

$490.00Price

The Tough Touring Bundutec 360 Hybrid awning to Hybrid camper Brackets are built specifically to suit Bundutec awnings (At this time they are not known to work with any others) due to the last arm on the 360 awning finishing on the top side of the awning, the bracket has been designed to allow the last arm to pass over the top when set.

The Kit comes with two end brackets and two hook brackets as well as requird 5mm Grip Nuterts and Dome head bolts.

For the closest possible fit and no gaps - The Awning length can be the same length as the pop top trailers roof (Longer sizes will also fit - But definatly not shorter sizes).

It is ideal for the installation if your trailers existing awning mounts are used to stabilize the centre of the bundutec awning - (So leave them on)

Hybrids with an aluminium Angle extrustion fitted are even better, as the Angle will work as a gutter for rainwater run off , as well as providing a central fixing point for the awning back plate.

This is a difficult installation, and it is advised to seek professional installers help.

"Flush Fit Awning brackets" - Bundutec 360 Awnings ONLY.

Designed Specifically to suit Bundutec 360 awnings ONLY - These are a variation of the above  bracket type - Cut down to 100mm high and folded inward to allows the Bundutec 360  awning to be the same length as the pop top roof -  The Last arm of the Awning swings out Over the top of the bracket system - coming to rest very close to the van...

We had to re-design shorter hook brackets to accommodate how close the awning sits when set up, Please do not order this bracket type for other brands of awnings as it is unlikely that they will fit.

WHY - Fittment of 'Wrap around' - freestanding pole less awnings.

Pole Less wing awnings tend to be really fast to put up and put down. (a minute or so)...

No heavy lifting is required.

ABOUT the Brackets

The Brackets do not foul on any of the tested variants of this chinese built trailer, so far tested on MDC 12, 15 and other name varieties.

The Brackets are fixed via Rivnuts (Nutserts)  to the inset / Top edge of the pop tops Flush Steel Frame - and are triangulated for strength and bracing either way along the edge of the pop tops shutting /seal surface.

Zero flex through the brackets is present.  Shear testing is far in excess of the awnings structure (Meaning if the wind gets under the awning, the awning will fail, not the camper).

Fitting is fairly straightforward with 6 x M8 Nuterts each end fixing the brackets. No Requirement for any fixings on the visible side walls of the camper as these are made of a composite filled with styrene (No strength there).

PLEASE NOTE: It Is important that you measure and ORder EXACTLY the correct  length of awning - The Bundutec Hybrid 360 is known to land at 2.9, 4.1, 4.3m however custom sizes can be ordered via Bundutec Australia directly

HYBRID AWNING BRACKETS"

Additional Guttering may be required  to prevent water running down the walls - this is not something tough touring supplies.  can be fitted. . A bit of angle in aluniuminiu / plastic or rubber would do it... Install it after the awning is on so you can measure it up.

In the event of you wishing to install an Awnings with a Back plate shorter than the campers body length - Its impossible.

Just in case you want to ask why - IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to CUP any smaller awning around a van - It has to be a minimum of 190mm longer than the van overall...
Measure carefully .  Vans will need straight lifting roofs (Good gas struts and springs) to be able to open single handedly without rubbing  on brackets .

Supported Awnings:

Bundutop 360 (Must order custom size to match your roof length.) ,

  • TECH SPECS - MEASURE YOUR TRAILER for CORRECT AWN

Loads exerted by twist forces on awning are triangulated along the pop tops joining structure giving the brackets immense strength and minimising potential damage to the camper in the event of wind damage.

WHY - Fittment of 'Wrap around' - freestanding pole less awnings.

Pole Less wing awnings tend to be really fast to put up and put down. (a couple of minute or so)...

  • FOOT NOTE. If you have wrong length awning

    FOOT NOTE:

To achieve required anti - twist strength - tough touring brackets triangulate back along the pop tops body to 'brace' the awning against lifting in wind along the front and rear ends of the van. This is achieved by the 'wrap around' design of the bracket system used.

If this is not possible as the awning you've purchased is too short - DO NOT TRY TO FIT THE AWNING - You are far better off selling the awning and buying the right length ...

ALL 180 and 360 awnings will fit up to the other Hybrid awning we build... "Outfold Hybrid bracket" as long as they are 190mm LONGER than the pop tops roof.. See our other listing if this is the case for you.
