The Tough Touring Gutter 76 series mount roof top tent rack  rail is secured by 4 Gutter mounts each side  - Running off a 1 piece gutter rail that extends the length of the 80's roof.

The Top edge of the rail is folded outwards - The Unique Outfold  allows Easy removal of tents, (And fitting of roof top tents that are typically 1350mm or wider )  our low mount Top Hat Bar planks can be ordered in 1400, 1450, or 1550mm Widths to handle even the largest RTT on the market.

The Top hat bar planks allow Easy tool access from beside the vehicle, making it easy tofitted and remove the tent when not in use  .

For Some Roof top tents such as the Tuff Trek Mk3 and the Bullett tent, The Rack can optioned as a Stand alone Roof rails kit, (Saving Height and Money ) - As these tents can be fitted without any cross bars.

Refinements have led to an overall One piece foot rail height of 115mm - resulting in a plank resting height of under 20mm over the high point on the roof. VERY LOW.

The Roof rail takes away point load issues with traditional gutter mount roof racks, securing immense loads stronger and lower.

Warranted to carry roof loads of up to 300Kgs Off road - .
Minimum Rack width 1450mm - 2100 Long, ID 1260mm - Ideally Using our standard kit, /  Gutter widths measured at 1360mm Front with 1320 mm at the rear .

The Gutter clamps do not foul on the 80's doors like many others - With many installs Sitting just 15mm - 20mm  off the high point on the roof -

These Roof racks are reccmmended to be used in conjuntion with our Awning to TENT brackets, should you wish to install a Pole Less awning to your set up.

NOTES ON PICTURES

WHITE 76

The Tough Touring Roof top tent  "footrails only Kit" rack is  fitted to the white 76 Combined with A Tuff Trek Mk3 RTT.

The RED 76 Has the Full roof top tent kit complete with Top hat bar planks fitted.

The WHITE  76 without any roof tent on yet show the rack fitted up with the Top hat cross bars before the tent went on.

The Footrails Only Kit is only possible with tents with stronger East west Support beams running across the floor of the tent, At present we have listed the Tuff Trek Mk3 and Bullett Roof top tents as structurally perfect for this " Footrails only install"

For all other types of roof tent - you will usually need the full Footrails and Top hat bar planks kit  -. You can through bolt the tent to 2 of the planks if your tent can handle it, its usually the best way to ensure strength and also makes it really easy to lift the tent off and on again, leaving the two centre planks on the rack whilst the tent is off.

PRACTICE FOR MODS TO YOUR ROOF TENT THAT GO WITH THIS RACK

Removal of the North South Foot rails underneath your tent takes away point loading the centre of the rack, Lowering the whole set up -  and also lowers the tent by the rails thickness, reducing wind noise and making the set up look better.

Please be aware that Tough Touring Is not responsible for any damage or warranty claims that you may encounter as a result of modifying your tent ! This is totally a matter for you to descide.

    76 series roof rack

The 76 series roof rack is as Mark states, strong, well designed, easy to fit and light weight.

Mark was very willing to pick up the phone and answer questions which was reassuring.

Thanks Mark, look forward to getting out there now.
