Toyota Troopy 'No Hook' Pop Top Awning Brackets

$890.00Price

This Set of Brackets is Built specifically for the Bush Company XT 270 Awning - This kit suits Toyota Troop Carrier Pop Tops wanting to fit awnings directly to the gutter.

See Other Listings for Other awning types.

Please note - This kit is awning specific and is designed for the Bush Company XT 270 awning ONLY...This bracket set comes without the third stabilising 'hook bracket' system. (The Bush Co xt270 Does not need the hook).

The Bush Company XT Max is NOT SUITED to this bracket set, Its use can load up the front bracket and troopy gutter system to dangerous twist force in wind.

The Bush company awnings are smaller and have canvas on the lower side of the last arm, (The Hook cannot connect to it).  In all Other Cases it is WISER TO RUN THE Universal Bracket KIT WITH HOOK AS THE HOOK STABILISES AND STRENGTHENS THE AWNING _ PREVENTING POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO THE TROOPIE GUTTERS / Brackets or Awning IN WIND SQUALL.

General information about the bracket set

The Troopie "Pole Less Awning to Vehicle"  Kit ultilises a twin Bolting clamp design for ultimate strength and is constructed entirely out of Australian Mild steel here in Australia. The Rear bracket triangulates around the rear of the truck - Ultimate anti twist strength - for a super ridgid 270 degree rear awning set up.

Our Feedback from troopie owners so far (with over 50 Installs so far) has been excellent on installed units with owners having zero failures thus far and enjoying the obvious benefits of running totally Pole less 270 awning speed and coverage. ...

If you are Installing this Gutter Bracket, Please ensure that your Gutters are free of dirt, Putty, glue, fibreglass or any obstructions. If it isnt - make it free from Gunk by scraping it out with a blade or similar. From there the Gutter mount kit simply Drops into the gutter, clamps are then bolted on from the outside edge and your brackets are installed.

Installation video on You tube here - (Its filmed in Real Time - Installation was under 10 minutes)

We include a Small Tube of Sikka Flex 221 to add a DOT of Glue to the front brackets Rubber foot... It helps it stay vertical when the awning is not on, and prevents any vibration scratching troopies paint.  It the case of you removing the brackets down the track - the Glue itself rubs off the paint without damage even when hardened using a caramel wheel or rubber eraser.

The New  Releases of all FULL Kits from 2022 onwards include our 'Hook Bracket' allowing some pole less wing awnings to be latched into the bracket when erected - The Hook bracket increases the strength of the awning and the brackets while also reducing flex and rist of wind damage.

THIS KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE HOOK BRACKET...

All Kits Come PRe-Assembled ready to fit.

The Bush company XT 270 (MAX MODEL IS NOT SUPPORTED)

Gutter area  where the brackets are to be fitted MUST BE  in Fair to Good condition.  If they are really rusty and you wish to run this bracket system, You risk failure.. (rust takes out the strength).

Awnings in General that are Larger than 10 Sqm are not reccommended for use with this bracket set - as twist loads will exceed the troopcarriers Gutter Load capacity in strong wind.

You will need a 13mm Spanner, 6mm Allen Key and thats about it to effictively install the kit to your vehicle.

The Front support bracket should be mounted loose firstly, then propped in a vertical position overnight while the dab of Sikka Cures. Then Install the Awning .

Video here of a  worst case troopcarrier with Resin filling the gutters as well as bolt rope track fitted in the way, Pop top roof latches in the way and inproperly secured pop top - all fixed in the video with basic tools... We've never seen one this bad since - but it still came up fantastic with a bit of sanding and TLC.

Care should be taken to guy down and even Run poles on Pole less wing awnings in unprectable wind to ensure no damage is occassioned to your awning or vehicle should wind strength exceed the awnings load limits.

Brackets were better than expected. Only issue was clearance for back roof clip and addition of spring washers. Ideal solution for my application. Thanks Tough touring.

    Awesome install on our Dmax.

So impressed with the guys from Tough Touring in Braeside!! Our install of rooftop tent and awning looks amazing and works like a dream. The brackets are strong and hold up in the windiest of conditions. Customer service was a 10 out of 10 and there was no job they couldn’t help us with. Highly recommend!!
