Tough Touring 100 Series Toyota Roof Rack is a Low Profile / outward folded roof rack designed Specifically for the heavy loads consistent with offroad touring.
Weve Designed the platform to be removable and interchangable easily over time or for regular change overs from Touring to Town mode.

Our custom designed rails and Aluminium platform form a super strong, low foundation for your Touring Gear and Awning Combination. Capable of handling Heavy loads on Off road environments - The Tough Touring Racks are so low they help wind drag and noise from bulky Tents, while the low profile and forward positioning that the rack provides moves the weight of the touring gear lower and futher forward than traditional touring racks - which also help reduce body roll /improving vehicle stability.
The LC 100 Once Piece Platform Rack we supply is slotted on all Planks, allowing maximum versatility... it has been designed with ' shorter rear' , allowing pole less wing awnings to swing through their arc and be set up with minimal fouling on the rear doors Wind fairing.
Tough Touring makes an awning to rack kit that puts the awning onto the rack directy, mounting the awning beside the tent and seperate.

The top rail feet have been heat folded to 75 Degree angles to allow maximum camber and stiffness while still giveing tool access, top foot rails now folded through 100 degrees - (outfolded) (1 big lengthways fold) for super solid - zero flex -and heavy load... Unreal rack.. The 100 is among our favorite vehicles and its 4 point super strong roof just makes it easy for us to look good :) The Platform Fits to the foot rails at 3 points each side utilising the side rail slotting and Unistrut m8 Bolts. (6 Botls in total for fittment and removal)
Recent updates means the Kit now comes complete with 8 x ABS Plastic 10mm spacers - allowing fittment of the rack kit without removal of the Roofs rubber inset trim.. (The feet fit straight in Easy as). The ABS spacers prevent electrolsis / rust forming between different metals.

At Present - we have moved to General Release Version of this rack - Its design has evolved into a 1 piece foot rail and with 4 seperate feet - Improvements have further increased strength and its simple installation makes it a no brainer.

RAck Size
The Rack comes in at 1400mm wide x 2100mm Long. It sits a mere 15mm off the top of the 100 series roof skin.
t least 50mm wider Top hat bar planks than your tent width.
Top Outfold Foot rails are folded outwards at 80 Degrees, while the rack feet are our standard 75 Degree fold. (InFold is a Plus 100 Fold)

ABOUT THE RACK - THE EXTRAS
The One piece rack we supply we've kept it short at the rear, allowing pole less wing awnings to swing through their arc and be set up over the space above the rear door, stopping rain ingress,, Its also important to keep roof weight forward as it improves vehicle handling etc as well...

* 2 x Super Low One Piece outward folded 3mm Mild Steel / 8 point roof rails (80Degrees outward Fold) - 1950mm long
* 1 x Aluminium Platform - 1400mm x 2100mm in Aluminium Powdercoated BLACK Slotted on almost all Planks and side rails to accept Unistrut / M8 or M10 Bolts
* 8 x 75 Degree Folded Roof rail Feet* Assorted ABS spacers
* 16 x High Tensile Hex Bolts and washers for rail mounting into the rail channels
1 Tube Sikka flex Adhesive sealant
16 x 20mm Countersunk Hex Head bolts and Nyloc nuts for fastening roof planks to rails.

Made to order - As these racks are still moving through minor dev changes - we only cut them 3 at a time. Your order will usually be delivered within around 1 - 4 weeks (Allowing for Freight time) depending on where the present cut / powdercoating stock is at..
