Tough Touring Has built a low mount - Super heavy duty over cab roof rack for the Chev Silverado, designed to carry heavy loads and maintain the clean lines of the Truck - the rack features 4 oversized rack feet each side, giving the 1800mm long rack the same rating as our LC 100 racks - warranted for 200kg loads. 
The Rack in Pictures is on our own work truck, and is version 1, newer versions step back at the front, and carry the exact same parallel lines as the tub. 
 
4 Aluminium Top hat bar planks are fitted 'UnderSlung' to the rack - Giving the appearance of a Naked Foot rail.. (The Foot rail is 1 piece inward folded 3mm Mild Steel, powdercoated in Black Textura by Dulux) - All components made in Melbourne, australia. FInished with FORCH 9;8 High tensile hardware. 
 
The Silverado roof cavity is litterally filled with Airbags, and requires a head lining removal to fit any rack safely. 
 
The Tough Touring Roof rack kit comes complete with our 'Reverse Button head installation kit" which is fitted from inside the cab - clamping the fack feet securely to the slotted rails - while maintaining through bolt strength, the dome nuts also prevent air bag puncture on deployment. 
 
Tough Touring would reccommend fitting by Expert fitters and Mechanics, the Kit does not come with instructions. If you don't already know how to install in the above method - Do not learn on this vehicle.
