Tough Touring Awning to Dash Rack brackets   - 
Pictures show the Rear bracket, The front bracket is the same but mirrored to the front. 
Our Hook bracket shown in the pictures secures the open last arm of the awning , givving the open awning immense wind tolerances and creating a 3 piont securing mechanism. 
 
These brackets Bolt straight up to  the Platform planks directly Using the Provided 6 x 20mm  High Tensile M8 Nuts.. .they t slide into the track and bolt down with a washer on each right through the slots on the bracket.. 
 
They come in 3 Variations -
"Up" Mount Brackets - These are super stiff and mount directly to the top of Platform - they are 180mm high and span 420mm across the platform when fitted (about the same height as most awnings in the bag).
 
"MID mount" brackets - These are not as stiff as the up mount, and sit 140mm above the platform, 420mm across the platform -  they place the awning BESIDE the rack and 40mm below it - again the Awnings themselves are typically 180mm high, so the Mid mount bracket holds the awning beside and lower than the up mount by 40mm... Majority of vehicles suit this bracket - there is enough clearance over opening doors for all vehicles tested (GU patrol has the least clearance and these still work fine). 
 
MID mount LONG brackets - These are the same height as the Mid mount bracket 140mm - but the triangulatrion 'Foot" of the bracket is really LONG - Its 640mm Long bracket, its long so as that it can pick up more Planks on the Dash racks platform, giving it immense anti twist strength - making it stiffer for VERY large Double Ended Awnings and also strengthening the rack against bowing. Super stiff means it will hold the bigger forward fold awnings in their true Pole less form, and less flex means the awning will handle more wind. 
The Downside of course is sliding objects onto the rack from the rear becomes more difficult with the bracket stiffening arm running 640mm across the rack back and front... Not a biggie if your used to basket style racks : there is still sliding room available on the other side for ladders etc. 
 
Its possible (But unlikely) that you will have to drill 1 hole (9mm) in each bracket as the rhino rack pioneers second plank is always in a different position depending on the rack/vehicle /width combo... 
 
Designed to handle immense twist forces - and stiffen up the rack itself - all options for this Bracket kit are the  most ridgid bracket systems we can make for this rack - recently updated to specifically suit fit up to the new profile 2021 Rhino Pioneer rack ... (as well as the old ones)
 
 
For wagons with wind fairings like the Toyota 100/200 and 300 series, the Nissn Y62 and the Landrover Discovery 4  - We would advise where possible mounting the rear bracket approx 80mm forward of the plastic rhino edge profile,   to achieve the best possible coverage over your door join (Stop rain getting in) - and minimise awnings last arm hitting the wind fairing...  Almost all rear swinging pole less awnings will swing out 110 - 140mm  BEHIND the back edge of the bracket. So mount it forward to give it room.
 
See Pictures above for fitting the brackets  instruction (Thats it) its pretty easy - The Bolts provided slide into the Rhino rack tracks and you do em up... Thats it... 
 
These brackets were designed for fitting by professionals - however the installation would be considered amongst the easiest of all our product installs. You will need aa 6mm Allen key to do up the Dome Nuts . You will need a 13mm spanner and 5mm allen key for the awning install - (Ostrich wing) too...
 
The Kit supports all known   Pole less wing awnings, including forward swinging 180 270 and 360 awnings ...
